Sahara Desert Tour Erg Chigaga ( 5 Days 4 Nights)

Departure early in the morning from Marrakech to Merzouga Dunes to enjoy Sahara Desert Tour. Along the way you pass through magestic sightseeing of Tizi N’Tichka. About mid-day you arrive to Ait Ben Haddou. It is recognized by UNESCO. Lunch time take place there.

Then you enjoy 2 hours of free time in for both visiting the city and having lunch around. Back to the car, on the way to Ouarzarzate you enjoy amazing views of Skoura Oasis and Dades Valley.

At 18:00 you arrive to Dades Gorges. Overnight takes place in a local hotel. Dinner and Breakfast are included.

After the visit of Dades Gorges, you continue your way to Todgha Gorges. There you visit gorges and have a walk in a Berber village with a local guide. It is popular to visit an artificial handmade carpets’ co-ooperative. Then you start another magic view point: Alnif Oasis, followed by Tazarin and finally Zagora. Locals have quite different culture and traditions there. Zagora is the place where Sahara Dunes activity starts. But wait a moment, be patient, this is taking place on day 3! Overnight stay in a beautiful hotel in Tamegroute.

After having breakfast at the hotel, our local guide picks you up. He guides you inside the old village of Tamegroute. It has been a religious center since the 11th century. There you can discover the Old Coranic school Zaouia Nassiria. The Coranic School was founded in the 17th century as the seat of the religious (Sufi) brotherhood of the Nassiria.

After the visit of Tamegroute village you resume the way to the dunes of Tinfou where you stop to enjoy the magnificent views of the Tinfou Dunes. Finally you get to final road day point: M’Hamid, where you start the adventure by 4×4 JEEP through the dunes of Erg Ihoudi to the dunes of Chigaga, where you have Camel ride then overnight in Berber Haimas Camp.

After traditional breakfast in Berber camp, you continue the adventure by 4×4 to get out of the desert. On the way you stop to visit Nomads of the desert and the Father welcome you with Mint Tea. Then resume the way to Foum Zguite. After the visit of the Nomads you depart to another disruptive views of amazing landscapes and Oasis. You have lunch in a village at the mid of the way. Overnight in the Hotel in Ouarzazate, dinner and breakfast included.

In Ouarzazate you can enjoy the visit of Museum of the Cinema, Cinema Studios and the Kasbah of Taourirte. Then take the road to the Ksbah of Telouet also called Glaoui palace. It is a Kasbah along the former road of caravans from Sahara through Atlas mountains to Marrakech. The Kasbah was the seat of El Glaoui family’s power. Thats why it is commonly called the Palace of Glaoui. Back to Marrakech after breakfast. Lunch takes place in Atlas Moutains.
