Day four of your 8 days in Morocco tour takes you deeper into the south, revealing some of the country’s most authentic and dramatic desert landscapes. Depart from Ouarzazate and travel toward Agdez, the gateway to the legendary Draa Valley, home to Morocco’s longest river and an endless ribbon of lush palm groves dotted with traditional Berber villages and ancient kasbahs.
Continue along the scenic route through the heart of the Draa Valley, following the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, before reaching Nkoub, a peaceful village known for its historic adobe architecture and desert atmosphere. The journey then continues eastward across arid plains and striking desert scenery toward Merzouga, on the edge of the Sahara.
In the late afternoon, you will set off on a memorable camel ride across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. As the sun sets, the sand dunes take on warm hues of gold and amber, offering a truly unforgettable Sahara experience.
Upon arrival at your desert camp, enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner, Berber music around the campfire, and the serenity of the star-filled desert sky.
Overnight at a Sahara Desert Camp in Merzouga.
